January 2019. We don't go to as many hockey games as we used to, but we still get in a handful. Lilly isn't obsessed with hockey any more, but she and Greta still really enjoy watching the games.
As mentioned in an earlier post, the snow fall wasn't very substantial at the start of the winter season, but as it went along, it certainly picked up. When there wasn't much snow, we hauled snow from one area of the yard and started piling it on to the other side. It turned into the Epic Igloo of 2019.
Lilly went to work with Nick and came home with gloves. She apparently needed to wear them while reading.
More work was done on the epic snow fort. Don't be too impressed yet - there was much more snow to fall.

I don't even know what is going on here.
As I mentioned earlier, that was only the beginning of the snow fort of tremendous proportions. Here is the addition.
We also went skiing. It is a fun family activity. It will be even better when we can all keep up with one another.
Reading on the couch.
The igloo was now big enough to hold three. Squished up but three of us are in the cave now.
Greta went through a crazy hair do phase for awhile. The more ponies, the better. Nick got his practice doing hair during this stretch.
For Christmas, the girls got a telescope. This is a picture Nick snagged from the telescope.
Here is a picture from the upstairs bathroom of the ever growing and improving igloo.
The semester ended, so Lilly didn't have school but I had to work. My dad came up and spent the day with her. They made a list, had lots of fun, and he taught her how to draw horses/unicorns. Lilly then passed this knowledge on to her sister when she came home from Tree Top.
There is no lack of imagination in our house. This is the meticulously set up pet store.
And this is them in their snowmobiles.
I believe they used their snowmobiles to get to this location, where they read, and then went to sleep (they are in laundry baskets).
We are big fans of grilling. Nick in particular. He especially likes grilling in winter when it is cold. If it is blizzard conditions or dangerously cold, that is even better!
One activity that happens more during winter than the rest of the school year is going to Nick's work.
And that is January!
