February 2019

Remember how I said to keep an eye out because the igloo wasn't at the peak yet?

That's right - we have two entrances!!

We also built a sledding hill on the other side of the yard.  It was a winter playground!

Our friends came over, Tim and Elizabeth, as well as our friends that have kids around our kids age for brunch and lots of fun in the backyard.

We have this woodpecker that comes and visits our feeder.

The snow was epic.  We had so much fun playing and playing in all sorts of ways.

The igloo.  It really was an amazing feat.  Look at all that space!

The girls also participated in the Kids Book It ski race.  They do a loop on the lake and get hot chocolate and cookies at the end.  Per usual we were running late, so they both jumped in at the end but trucked along and did the whole loop.

The Brainerd Robertson crew came over that afternoon to do the Book Across the Bay race on Saturday night.  Everyone had a good time and did well in the race.  The next day we all went over to the hospital trails in Ashland and skied the trails (and climbed on the giant parking lot snow hill).

I thought I had more pictures from this adventure but apparently not!

February brings Lilly's favorite things - her birthday and the Father Daughter dance.  It is a fundraiser for the PTO and Lilly just has so much fun.  Nick, well, Nick enjoys how much fun Lilly has.

It looks like I don't really have one of Lilly's birthday, aside from this photo.  We are admiring art Uncle Matt from Brooklyn sent us and some of her new presents are in the room.

And that igloo - it goes all the way through.  That's right.  All the way through, from one entrance to the other.  We do not mess around with our snow sculptures here.

I mean, look at this igloo.  Does it get any cooler than this?
