Fall Fun!

So, it has been awhile, my apologies.  Here are some photos from our fall adventures.

We went back to the farm where we went cherry picking to go apple picking.  We were quite successful in our apple picking adventures and had many fresh, delicious apples and apple desserts from our giant bag o'apples.

The girls often are found reading together.  Here, in a change of pace, Greta was also reading to Lilly.  They took turns reading every other page of Green Eggs and Ham.

It was an early homecoming and everyone in the house had different dress up days.  Greta had a day of dress up like your favorite character, she went as Gerald from Elephant and Piggie.  There was the typical homecoming parade, this year a medium temperature.  The girls read (and sat on life jackets) while they waited for the parade to start.  Per usual, lots of candy was tossed in our direction, as well as some cartons of chocolate milk.

We went to Duluth and met Tim and Dianne there.  We also met Sam, Suzy, and Julian.  We went to the children's museum and then lunch and the aquarium.

Grandma treated the girls to shirts from the aquarium.

Some miscellaneous fun:

We went to the corn maze again this year.  We were more successful this year than last, and were out of the maze in a much more reasonable amount of time.  It certainly was chilly, so I am glad we made it through in a reasonable time.

The girls went snowmobiling:

The big excitement, mostly for Nick, was the arrival of the remote control truck.  It has been hours upon hours of fun for pretty much everyone.

The girls jogged in the Loose Caboose race again this fall.  A little chilly but otherwise nice night for their run.  My parents were up and able to witness the craziness of the race as well.

The Tree Top Crew

My mom and I did the Whistlestop the following day.  My mom walked/jogged the 10k and I ran the 5k.  We won't talk about my time but I was able to run it all, so we have that going for us I guess.  We also went apple picking with my parents, to the Coast Guard park in Bayfield, and to Prentice Park to play and drive the remote control car around before they left.  It was a very nice weekend together.

Okay, that takes care of a few months!  Perhaps I will come back soon with more!  Thanks for keeping up with this inconsistent blog!
