Transitions are hard for me - I struggle at the end of the school year and again at the start of the school year. The transition is now a little harder with Lilly heading back to school too. Lots more pressure about getting people in bed on time so we can get up on time, getting lunches packed, all on top of getting to know 100+ new students, learning their names, and helping them adjust to life at high school. So when the weekend finally arrived, I was relieved.

Unfortunately, Lilly had a soccer "tournament" on Sunday. Luckily, they are still little and enough of them are interested in soccer that we have enough teams between Ashland and Washburn, so it was all in Ashland at the soccer fields by the high school. Unfortunately, it was probably the hottest day all summer. Greta hung out for awhile, but quickly lost interest, so she and Nick went to play and I stayed in the hot, hot, hot sun watching Lilly play soccer. I think by the end we were all ready to be done with soccer for the season!
