Christmas 2017

This is mostly a photo retrospective.  No fun stories because I can't remember them, just some nice photos of good holiday fun.  (and if you missed it, I posted some photos of a winter paddle - beautiful photos of the lake you should check out)

One of Lilly's classmates' parents hosted a free sled dog rides December 23rd.  Lilly and I went and had a fun ride.  The musher was all set to give us another loop, but Lilly was done.

We opened presents that evening, preparing to leave on December 24th to go to my cousin's house for my extended family's Christmas.

That morning, the girls were quite excited but were willing to sit together in Greta's room and have Lilly read her a few books before two tired parents dragged themselves out of bed.  This is particularly remarkable because Santa had made a special trip down to Ashland for them.

We made it to my cousin's house with no car sickness but did have some sketchy road and weather conditions that slowed down our travels.  But, we made it there and had a great time playing, playing shabuck, and opening presents (and of course, eating lots of good food and treats!).

Then we packed up everything and headed to Eau Claire, where we stayed at Nick's parents' house.  Much of the Robertson family gathered and lots of fun was had, good food was consumed, and presents were opened (I am sensing a trend).

After many fun days at the Robertson's house, we headed over to the Kuchta/Robertson/Little Christmas (for those of you who are counting, Christmas #4). And you guessed it, good food was consumed, fun was had, and presents were opened.

After wrapping up all the Christmas fun, we headed back to Ashland.  We had a wonderful time, it was great fun seeing everyone and spending time together, and celebrating our family.
