So, it has been a long time since I've posted and have much to post about. Rather than trying to recall all the events of the last few months, I am going through the photos and will try and do some recaps of the adventures from this fall. Picmonkey is making me sign up for a free trial and give credit card information, so I apologize for the lack of collages, making for the long scrolling.
First up, the 1,000 books before kindergarten party at the farmer's market, hosted by the library. We stopped by the table for some crafts and fun. The friends of the library had a stand too, so we bought some cheap books, because we needed more. For my school picture this year, I dressed up as Wenda from Where's Waldo, and other people from the English department dressed up as other characters. Lilly was in love with the red cat-eye glasses I got for my appearance, so wears them now for fun.
Next, visiting my cousin Abby's farm for her open house. They have upwards of 40 alpacas these days, chickens, ducks, a St Bernard dog, and they were cow-sitting some cows for a friend. We went, checked things out, Nick tried some alpaca jerky (apparently it is quite good) and we supported her son's lemonade stand.

Every fall, our FFA and other groups put on the fall festival for the elementary school. I told Lilly I would try and swing by when her class went to the event if it worked out during my prep. It did, so I got to see Lilly and watch her pretend to milk a cow. They also had games for the kids, a petting zoo, big tractors, and other fun things for the kiddos.
This doesn't seem right chronologically, but we did do one final beach trip this fall as well. Nick put in the water in Ashland and paddled to West Thompson beach in Washburn. He took the five mile paddle and the girls and I met him at the beach for one last dip in the lake before it became too cold for the rest of us (Nick paddles until the lake is frozen). I did not actually swim, I took one final paddle out to the little rock island out there and back, that was enough for me.
We also made a trip down to Eau Claire. Nick's Uncle Dave came to visit from North Carolina (braving the "cold") and his Aunt Nancy also came along to hang out for the weekend. Friday we drove down and hung out for the weekend and hung out at the house and a trip to the park. It was such a fun visit (although a bit sad because we didn't get to see my mom, just my dad, because she was in Italy!).

It is now time for bed. Happy Thanksgiving, tune in again soon for Finishing Up Fall Part II!
There is an Uncle Dave in North Carolina? Because WE are in North Carolina, too!! A road trip south for the Robertsons is sounding more and more like it just needs to happen. :)
