Our friends Tim and Elizabeth just co-bought a 1985 Cobalt motorboat and offered to take us out on the boat today. They were eager to take us on a ride but we wanted to make sure the winds weren't too strong so the girls would have fun. Lilly had an absolute blast, Nick and I had a great time, and Greta hd a nice time but thought it was a little too noisy.
We slowly built up speed, Tim making sure the girls were comfortable before going faster. After we motored out to the lighthouse, Elizabeth dropped the anchor and we had a mini-dinner on the boat. Elizabeth also taught Lilly how to tie a few knots. Then we headed back to shore for a few minutes of playing at the beach before heading home for snacks.
Here are some photos from the adventure, I couldn't decide which lighthouse ones I liked the best, so you just have to look at all of them.
