Every year, Lilly and Greta's daycare has an end of the year program/graduation. The families gather in the daycare, the preschool kids walk in front of everyone and sing a handful of songs. After that, the kids moving on to kindergarten put on their caps and gowns and sing, "Oh I'm Ready" and get a few presents from the daycare. Then everyone heads outside for a potluck dinner.
Lilly has been looking forward to this day for at least the last month. She's had her outfit picked out (including underwear) and put aside for about that long and asks us every day, how many days until the program? We've heard all the songs, even Greta attempts to join in at times.
I got there at 4:00 to get Greta so the teachers could all work together to get the performers ready. At 5:00 the kids walked in and started singing.
Then, it was time for the graduates (all twelve of them!) to walk on and sing for us.
Lilly then posed for a few photos with her good friend Magda.
Lilly was very eager to get her graduation gown off, so these were the only photos we got with them. It took some convincing on both Lilly and Greta's part to get a photo of the two of them together and we didn't even get a very good one.
Then we attempted to get the girls to eat some dinner, rather than run around and play with their friends. We were somewhat successful but the girls spent quite a bit of time playing in the backyard on the playground.
Finally, it was time to leave. After much protesting, we got them to the van. Then Lilly wanted a photo with her favorite teacher, Lorrie (she loves Theresa too though). She ran, tripped, fell and scraped her elbow and hand. After pulling it together, she gave her a goodbye hug and I managed to get this great picture.

Me see?
The girls in this group are pretty close and someone managed to get this great group picture.
Greta and her best friend Korra
Lilly's friend Flint, who apparently wants to marry Lilly
They did take a break from playing to eat cake.

I can't believe this girl is off to kindergarten (but not until September).
