Tonight will be photos and captions. They aren't totally in time order, but we can all handle that. Enjoy.

The annual Holiday Parade. A highlight this year were the free books.
Two reactions to the tow trucks at the end of the parade: Greta - tremendous excitement and couldn't be more thrilled Lilly - covered her ears and was eager for them to pass |
Static, tower building excitement, don't wake me up mom, watching Lilly at Learn to Skate |
The remote control helicopter is a big hit with both girls. Lilly is incredibly entertained when Greta flies it. |

We took a trip to Hayward, WI to watch the high school girls hockey team. We only have 3 girls who play hockey at our high school, so they drive an hour to Hayward to practice six days a week. On December 10th, they had a teacher appreciation game and one of my students invited me to come. So, we piled in the van and had an amazing trip to Hayward, watched some hockey. I wore my student's jersey, walked out on the ice after the first period and was given a flower and a box of chocolates and had my picture taken with Lily (my student). It was very awkward but very nice of her to ask me to come. We stayed for most of the second period, but then left to go get pizza in the girls' bellies for they were starting to get hangry. And - another remarkable ride home. And this isn't really a caption anymore, but was more deserving of a story. |

| Lilly's letter to Santa. I really like the elf and reindeer drawings |
| Best game ever - "nigh-nigh." We go to sleep. |
| Walking from the library and from the bakery. I love how much Lilly takes care of her little sister! |
| We built a snowman, using pretty much all the snow in our yard. |
| Upping the tower building ante |
My grandpa built this marble run. I love the thought and analysis Lilly has going on with her facial expressions |
It was freezing cold, below zero, so we made a trip to Nick's work to run in the halls, draw on the chalk board, and make shrinky dinks. |
On the way out, we had to check out the stuffed birds. We went to lunch at the Co Op. Greta would not stop playing to eat, it was late, she needed a nap, we didn't want a public scene, so we fed her while she played. |
We had friends over for cookie decorating and dinner. Earlier, Lilly made a gingerbread house (I made one as well, but it was hideous) earlier in the week. She should talk the little candies inside the house like they were a family. |
Okay, one more night until school starts up again (they've pulled back on the snow storm forecast, so no hope for an extended vacation with a snow day). I think I have covered everything up to our Christmas adventures, so I might just get December taken care of before we're too far into 2017!
Happy New Year!!
