Greta is a fuit/berry monster. Lilly is a fan, but doesn't love them quite as much. We decided it would be nice to go strawberry picking, and since everything blooms later up here, we were able to go picking last weekend. We packed up the girls and headed up to Bayfield and picked strawberries at Erickson's Family Orchard.
Greta was enthralled with the idea that she could just sit on the ground, pull the strawberries off the bush, and pop them into her mouth. Nick eventually took her and walked around while Lilly and I snagged a few more berries. Lilly lost interest shortly thereafter and went walking back to the van with Nick and Greta while I picked a few more berries - and stopped myself from going super crazy.
We ended up picking about half an ice cream bucket's worth, so not really much at all, so we bought a few more pre-picked berries when we were on our way out. We ate a bunch fresh, the rest are in the freezer, getting added to smoothies.
After picking, we grabbed sandwiches from Co-Co's in Washburn, drove home, put Greta down for her nap and waited patiently for Julie, Taylor, Eric, and Caitlyn to come visit (post coming soon!).
