Wrapping Up 2015 #5b

Every Christmas Eve (weather permitting) we go to my cousin Phil's house in Centerville, a northern suburb of the Twin Cities.  We have tacos, cookies, play shabuck, play other games, talk, and open presents.  Here are some photos my dad snagged from the night:

We piled back into the minivan, loaded it up with our new loot, and headed to Eau Claire.  Greta cried for a bit but eventually fell asleep.  Lilly stayed awake the entire drive, despite it being after 8 and completely dark.  We read, she drew, and listened to audio books.  Luckily she fell asleep in a reasonable amount of time once she was put down on the floor in our room.

We spent the next few days hanging out with the Robertson side of the family at Nick's parents' house.  This is such a long time ago, I will just put the photos up.  We had lots of fun and had great conversation.  At some point in time everyone was there - and healthy - so we had a great time catching up on everything.

Opening Presents

Cally is really interested in chemistry.  Part of our present to her was some chemistry experiments.  She seemed to have a good time.

We also spent time outside as a family, playing in the snow.

Playing a new game

Before leaving for Ashland on Tuesday, we went to my parents' house to open presents on Monday morning.

Greta wasn't all that interested in opening presents, much more interested in eating them.  Lilly still took breaks while opening presents to read any new books.  She also had the joy of opening all of Greta's presents as well.  After present opening I rushed off to get a haircut, they ate lunch, and put Greta down for a nap.  After nap we played games, hung out.

Okay, I think that is it.  If not, too bad.  That's all that is getting shared now!  We're officially moving on to 2016!!
