I don't like sports, I like science. - Miles Klema
My cousin Abby lives up near Washburn, about 15 minutes from our house. She has a son, Miles, who loves science. We were at their house for dinner one evening this summer and it was decided that Miles would visit Nick at work to do some science. Lilly, Greta and I joined in too.
First, some pictures from the fun at their farm. They are alpaca farmers, Abby recently quit her job as a dialysis technician to run the farm full time. Her husband Jamie works construction. Besides alpacas they have chickens, ducks, and horse sit. They had a small number of pumpkins this year and Abby also makes handmade soaps that she sells along with her fiber and fiber crafts at the farmers market in Ashland. Miles is in kindergarten and is really interested in lots of things and a really fun kid.
We had a nice time hanging out and made promises to do it more often . . . and have seriously failed to do so.
And now to the liquid nitrogen experiments.
Visiting my work isn't nearly as exciting . . .
