S-P-E-L-L-I-N-G

We fear our days of spelling words to make plans around Lilly are coming to a close. Last Saturday Nick and I were discussing where to go out to eat with my parents. Nick spelled DaLous. Without missing a beat Lilly said, "DaLous?"

She also does her own invented spelling if we spell something, often saying, "what did I spell?" after sharing a random assortment of letters.  Today she said she wanted e-t-r-f-s for dinner. I guess we will have to come up with code words now. Or our own cipher. Or let Lilly in on the plans.
