I have a post in the works about the Robertson Reunion, but have many, many pictures that need to be sorted and such. So while you patiently wait for those adventures, here is a taste of what we do every day, hundreds of times a day: play doctor.
It is essentially the only imagination game we play these days. It has a few variations, which is nice, but basically we take turns "talking" the patient and the doctor. And see patient after patient after patient.
Sometimes, we play with Duplos. This is the most common variation. She has a Duplo Dusty and the rescue helicopter from Planes 2 Fire and Rescue (or whatever it is called). Dusty is the helper and often uses the hose to give glue to put the patients back together. The bigger toy airplane she has is the doctor and then the rescue helicopter, is of course, the rescue helicopter. Patients are built out of Duplos, delivered by the helicopter, often have an x-ray, are then fixed, and finally go to wait in the recovery room. Casts are often on for 47 weeks.

| Greta joins the action playing with the rescue helicopter. |
Sometimes she uses her actual doctor kit and fixes patients with those.

| Princess Belle the doctor (this is from the end of June!) |

Playing doctor at DaLou's during the Robertson gathering. Poor Cally had to play doctor the most that weekend. |
 |
| The penguins were rescued from a fire and had burns. |
Sometimes toys aren't involved but rather art projects are. We painted the other day and played doctor, I painted the patients and she painted the cures. We've drawn picture after picture of doctors and patients. When she played with Model Magic, they were patients and doctor. If we are telling her a story, 95% of the time it involves a doctor and their patients. And we have to say the patient, the patient's name, and what is wrong with them.
I am going to go as far as to call this an obsession. The most frustrating time is when the patients have the hiccups because no matter what cure we suggest, the hiccups just won't go away. It gets frustrating trying to come up with new cures! Eventually she lets something cure the hiccups (often gallons of lemonade) and we can move on to a new patient.
