Lilly-isms

Impressive bed head
Here are a few little quips that have escaped from Lilly's mouth over the last few months:

*At night she wears overnight diapers.  She refers to the diapers she used to wear during the day as "wake up diapers"

*Our upstairs bathroom doesn't have heat.  It usually doesn't get super cold in there, but we've added a space heater.  Lilly asked what it was.  I told her it was a space heater, she asked me where the astronaut was. (It took me a minute to figure out the connection between space and astronaut)

*We are going to be in trouble when she's a teenager.  Lilly asked me a question and I told her no.  Then I asked Nick a totally unrelated question and his answer was "sure.'  Lilly then pointed out to me that dad said sure.  Yeah, different question and topic kiddo, but nice try.

*A few weekends ago Lilly woke up about midnight with a terrible cough that sounded much like croup.  Nick bundled Lilly up and took her outside for a walk in the cold air.  On the walk to the front sidewalk she was making sure that he was protecting her from the cars.  They started walking down the front sidewalk and about halfway down the block Lilly said, "Daddy, you'd better turn around, we're a long way from home."

*We were playing Spot It and Lilly had lost interest very quickly.  In an attempt to pull her back into the game, we said we saw two snakes.  I then tried to get her to find the snakes because Daddy doesn't like snakes.  She simply told Nick, "It's okay Daddy, they aren't real" and went back to what she was doing.

*This one isn't a direct quote, but we were given this message the day after when Nick dropped Lilly off at day care.  Apparently another child nearly knocked her over in the bathroom while Lilly was getting ready to leave.  Lilly's response, "Woah, child.  You almost knocked me over."

*She still reminds us/requests that we drive safely any time we get in the car.
