Like last year, we spend much of our winter attending sporting events in town. Between my students and Nick's students, we have no shortage of games to attend. Last year we took her to a few basketball games and we'd ask if she liked hockey or basketball more and she'd quickly let us know hockey was the favored sport. This year though, there may be a shift. After the first Northland basketball game, where she jumped up and down, clapped and cheered voraciously, we asked again. This time, the answer was basketball.
Lilly and I went to the JV high school girls game the following Monday and she seemed to have a good time. She had an even better time when I bought her some popcorn to eat during the game.

| At first we were on the top bleacher, but she deemed this unsafe. |

This Saturday we went to the Northland women's game and she wanted to leave shortly after we got there. We convinced her to stay by buying some popcorn (which is sold in much more reasonably sized boxes - the one in the picture above lasted us a week). After some popcorn though she wanted to go home, saying it was too loud. Home we went, checking in on the score later that evening.

| She looks so intent on the game in this photo, but that isn't the case. |
Tomorrow night we will go to the C-Team Boy's game (mostly freshmen boys), we'll see how that goes over. And depending on what happens over the weekend, we may go to a hockey game on Saturday. See if she really is a basketball fan now instead.
