As I mentioned earlier, we had some snow. Lilly loves playing in the snow, but it wasn't the kind of snow that you could do much with because it was cold. However, this past weekend it warmed up - nearly hit 40 degrees - so the snow was perfect for sculpting.
On Saturday afternoon we built a snowman. We had just finished watching Frozen, so I assumed Lilly would name the snowman Olaf. Nope, Lilly wanted to name it Lilly.
This is perhaps one of the best snowmen I have made in my life. Nick and I had to work together to get the middle snowball on the base. As you can see from the photos, we used up a tremendous amount of the snow in our backyard.
Sunday it was really foggy, rainy so more of the snow melted. But we still went out side in the drizzle and this time built a Humpty Dumpty statue. Lilly is, shall we say, obsessed with Humpty Dumpty. I didn't think it was possible to be obsessed with a four-line nursery rhyme but she is. Nick and Lilly ran errands Sunday morning, which included buying one of those snow block making rectangles.
I must say, I think we outdid ourselves. After we made the Humpty and the wall, Lilly and Nick made a miniature version and Lilly sang the rhyme over and over again.
Here's a picture from today, when it was daylight and snowing. We're under another lake effect snow warning and expected to get anywhere from four to six inches of snow today and tonight. So hopefully all the grass will get covered back up and we'll be back to our winter wonderland.

| The carnage - many Humptys were not put back together. |
