Summer Visitors

After the Fourth of July weekend our friends from grad school, John and Danielle and their son Forrest came to visit us.  They were staying in Brule, not that far from Ashland.  So they swung by Ashland on their way back home to Midland, MI.  It was great seeing them, we hadn't seen them since we visited them in Michigan before Lilly was born!  We picked up right where we left off and left with promises to see one another more often, since we do live in neighboring states.

Lilly loves having people visit - she's our social butterfly.  She asks for friends to come over, she asks to go to friends' houses or for us to go visit other people.  Here are a few photos from a pool party we had on a hot summer day with the toddlers - Lilly, Alma, and Braden.

Braden is not the most social of young men - any time he is over at our house he is always asking his parents when they are going to Braden's house.  He mainly sat in the sandbox and played by himself.
