Beautiful Weekend!

It was another cold, windy, rainy week here in Ashland - but we lucked out again and had some lovely weather on the weekend!  (We did not, however, have lovely weather on Thursday for our Link Crew and Ninth Grader picnic - it was in the 40s and cold.  After forcing them to eat outside, we let them into the gym for the rest of the picnic.)

Saturday we made another trip to the Duluth Aquarium, Lilly's favorite place.  Each time we go to the Aquarium is a fun new adventure.  Lilly was SUPER excited to go this time.  When I picked her up from day care on Friday, her first word to me was, "Quarium?"  She woke up at 7:45 on Saturday morning and while it is often a struggle to get her dressed for the day (she likes to spend her mornings in her PJs), she eagerly got dressed and as soon as we were downstairs, she put her boots on.  Um . . . kid, the Aquarium doesn't even open until 10, we've got awhile to wait.

It was GORGEOUS on Saturday as well, so we headed to the park
next to the aquarium.  The place was packed, but Lilly had fun. 

Lilly actually napped in the car home, which was great, but also a bummer because that meant no down time for us at home to get work done.  Since it hasn't been nice here for months, we took advantage of the nice weather and went to the park in Ashland.  The Purple Park.  You'll be seeing many park photos from the park.

On Sunday, we had friends over for brunch.  We all have kids who are within a few weeks, so it is fun to get the little ones together.  When Alma's parent's van showed up, Lilly clapped her hands and said, "Braden!  Alma!  Hoo-ray!!"  After delicious french toast, fruit, sausage (real and fake), and scones, we headed outside.  

The big kids weren't wearing shoes, so Lilly didn't need to either.

Everyone left around 12:30, Lilly went up for a nap, and then we headed outside for the rest of the day.  According to Lilly it was so warm, she did not need to wear pants.

The forecast for tomorrow - 90% chance of rain.

On Wednesday evening, Lilly and I headed to my work; a few students wanted to decorate another English teacher's classroom for her birthday.  The administration said it was okay, as long as a teacher agreed to supervise.  So, Lilly and I headed into school so the girls could decorate the classroom.  While waiting for them to show up and then finish, Lilly was drawing on my board.  Here she is attempting to say, "Robertson".
