At day care, Lilly is learning about Matman. It is a body awareness and starting to learn how to draw people little activity. It has all the parts and there is a song (that once you hear it, is in your head for days). I picked up Lilly one day and she was very excited to show me her picture of Matman. She correctly placed the eyes, nose, mouth and bellybutton in the drawing. At home on Thursday night, Lilly drew 100000s of Matmen, quietly saying to herself, "one head, one head. Matman one head. Two eyes two eyes. Matman two eyes". They had to be put in envelopes and mailed to people, but I snapped a quick photo of two of them.
In the bottom one I especially like how the arms and hands come off of the head.
Lilly really likes to "help" with things lately. Washing dishes, doing laundry, and vacuuming. Often times her helping vacuum means she rides on the canister, but sometimes she actually vacuums and helps clean up the house. Today she stopped going for a ride, put the duck on the canister, and did some vacuuming of her own. (And yes, she is not wearing pants. It is a thing around here with her - no pants. I'm surprised she's wearing socks, those usually need to come off too).
