We've been working on saying "no" with Lilly, rather than whining and fussing. She's getting pretty good at it and she makes us laugh half the time with the emphatic way she says it. This morning I tried to get her to wear a dress. I got a long-sleeve onesie on her and the dress and then asked her if she wanted leggings or the tights. She picked the tights. But then refused to keep the dress on. I attempted to get her to wear pants instead of the tights but that was met with an emphatic no. So . . . she went to day care today like this:
Lori, one of the women who works at the daycare said, "Lilly, your sense of fashion just makes me smile." I brought pants to daycare but she chose to wear the tights all day.
So this is what she wore when we went out to eat tonight too. I just wonder what makes her decide what she does and does not like - for she certainly has an opinion!
