Just a quick post before going to bed, something I should have done about forty minutes ago.
My brother and sister-in-law went to Scotland last year and returned with gifts. One of those gifts was a pad of paper that came with 3-D glasses. Lilly adores these 3-D glasses. I fashioned a giant hair elastic on the glasses so they can stay on her face, and she'll frequently keep them on for long stretches of time. This morning I'd guess she wore them for at least twenty minutes.
Friends of ours, the Hudsons, have a little girl, Cora, about a year and half older than Lilly. They loan us giant tubs of clothes and we recently returned the 12-18 month tub for the 2T tub (yes, quite a jump here, but life got in the way). In this new tub were at least seven, I repeat, at least seven pairs of shoes. I may have mentioned Lilly's shoe obsession before - if this trend continues she will be getting a job at 13 to pay for this habit. Before we went to bed last night, we set out the shoes we figured would fit her and we were willing to let her wear (I did not want the shoes with laces, for example). While her reaction was not the extreme enthusiasm we were expecting, she was pretty pumped.

But, I will give you three blurry photos from today.
The caption function is being funky, so I'll just type here. The hat and shoes are from the hand-me-down bin. Of course she picked the fanciest shoes. And wore those all morning until 12:15 when it was time for her nap. And even then it was a battle to get them off.
We managed to get a bath done today - another in the bin in the kitchen bath - and with rain boots (another hand-me-down) and a diaper on for much of it. But, she's clean and the diaper eventually did come off. The attempts at the tub this past week were epic fails.
After the bath (which ended when she got her bangs wet), I let her pick out her outfit. This lovely ensemble is what she put together. She took the squeegee out of the downstairs shower and squeegeed everything. (The shoes are another pair from the hand-me-down bin).
