Who Would've Thought . . .

When Lilly was an infant, in order to get her to sleep we'd need to be in a pitch-black room and bounce her on an exercise ball.  Today, when Nick put Lilly down for her nap he read her one story and asked if she wanted another story, or if she wanted to go to bed.  She pointed at the pack and play.  He put her in, standing up.  She laid down, put her head down, Nick turned off the light and walked out of the room.  We didn't hear her at all for nearly three hours.  Tonight, when I went to put her to bed for the night, I read her two stories.  I asked her if she wanted another story or bed, Lilly said, "bed" and pointed at the pack and play.  I set her down, walked out of the room, and she was asleep.  What a difference sixteen months make.
