Just before school started we were at a friend's house for dinner. Our friends have a little boy, Braden, who was born 10 days after Lilly. They had some of our other friends over as well, who have a little girl, Alma, who is two days younger than Lilly. It was fun to see them "interact" with one another and see where they were all at developmentally. Alma is just getting to sit with support, and can eat solid foods like a champ. Braden has sitting without support down, and then, our little girl. She decides while sitting on the ground in front of me, to pull herself up. Yup, just turned six months old and she pulls herself up.
At day care she's been doing it often, but the furniture at our house is just all a little too tall for her to get a good grasp on for pulling up. She tries to pull herself up on us while we sit on the ground with her, but goes for our thighs, which are not high enough. I put the laundry basket on the ground yesterday for her to try pulling herself up on that. She did, no trouble. Then, she tried to climb up on it . . .
